The wind whipped her strawberry-blonde hair as she exited a pub. She wasn't really a heavy drinker, but a few drinks never hurt here and there. She pulled her coat tighter around her body, she hated the cold, but she loved the scenery. Emporer, on the other hand, was loving the cold, he waddled happily next to her. He let out a chirp, basking in the winter breeze.

Marching off into the cold, Viola pulled out her camera from her bag. She was looking for places to take photos of. Wondering aimlessly about a town had always served her well. That's how she found her apartment in Emporio. It isn't the best apartment, but it functioned well enough to not be considered part of the slums. She missed Opelucid City, it hardly snowed there...everything was just cold for a bit and then it was fine. She loved living there, she loved all of the photo ops, the architecture, the Pokemon, but she especially loved the gym. No matter what was going on, the gym stayed the same. She had been inside it once, but she wasn't allowed to take photos in fear of the flash making people disoriented. She had never been strong enough to challenge a gym leader, not even the triplets in Striaton City. She wished she had taken up the challenge before moving.
